Chase Linton, a four-star edge rusher from the class of 2025, has chosen to join the Georgia Bulldogs.
Linton, who had options including Florida State, Georgia Tech, LSU, and Rutgers, initially put on a Georgia Tech shirt and hat during his announcement but found it too tight and opted for UGA instead.
Standing at 6 feet, 4 inches and weighing 215 pounds, Linton plays for North Atlanta High in Georgia. According to 247Sports, he ranks as the fourth-best edge rusher in the nation and the seventh-best player in Georgia. Overall, he is also the 45th recruit in the country, positioning him close to a five-star status.
The Bulldogs offered him a scholarship on July 28 and were seen as frontrunners for his commitment following his decommitment from Rutgers in August. Under Coach Kirby Smart, Georgia holds the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation, boasting 26 commitments for the 2025 cycle and surpassing programs like Ohio State and Alabama.
