Another week, another poor offensive showing by the Kentucky Wildcats, this time resulting in a 31-14 loss to the Texas Longhorns.
The team could only generate 232 total yards and seven points, and without a defensive touchdown, they were out of contention in the second half. The Wildcats are averaging just 14.1 points per game in conference play.
This raises the question: should offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan be let go?
Despite his unit’s struggles, head coach Mark Stoops has emphasized the need for greater offensive stability, having frequently changed coordinators in the past.
However, after the Texas defeat, Stoops made a peculiar comment regarding Hamdan’s job security. His response, “That’s hard to even answer,” followed by “Of course, he’s coming back,” didn’t inspire much confidence about Hamdan’s future, though it seems he is likely to stay on if Stoops remains in charge next year.
