The Ole Miss Rebels have wrapped up their regular season, and their upcoming priorities will shift to recruiting and the transfer portal. On Saturday, news emerged regarding a change in the Rebels’ roster.
On3 reported that running back Rashad Amos intends to enter the transfer portal. He spent a portion of the season on the injury list and participated in only six games, recording nine carries for 75 yards, with his longest run being a 42-yarder against Middle Tennessee.
This report was later confirmed by Ole Miss On SI on the same day.
Amos started his college career at South Carolina, where he appeared in 13 games over three seasons. His breakout performance came after transferring to Miami (Ohio) the previous year, earning Third-Team All-MAC honors by rushing for 1,075 yards on 210 attempts and scoring 13 touchdowns.
The Rebels faced challenges establishing a reliable running game in 2024 following the transfer of leading rusher Quinshon Judkins in the offseason. Currently, Henry Parrish Jr. leads the team in rushing with 678 yards but has been sidelined by a lower body injury sustained against Arkansas.
Ole Miss concluded its regular season positively by defeating the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the Egg Bowl on Black Friday with a score of 26-14. The team is now awaiting news about its postseason destination in the upcoming weeks.
