The Georgia Bulldogs have emerged as one of three potential transfer options for Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Jackson Arnold. Arnold plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens on December 9, following a season filled with ups and downs at Oklahoma.
On3 has highlighted Georgia, Auburn, and Mississippi State as the top three contenders in Arnold’s recruitment.
Arnold’s sophomore year did not meet expectations, especially after a strong start to his freshman year, leading to him being benched midway through the season.
Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 210 pounds, Arnold is noted for his mobility and physical rushing style. This season, he recorded 444 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 150 attempts.
He participated in 10 games but faced challenges as a passer, partly due to injuries in the Sooners’ wide receiver corps and a weak offensive line, failing to exceed 225 passing yards in any game.
Nonetheless, he showcased an impressive performance against Alabama, rushing for 131 yards on 25 carries while helping Oklahoma secure a surprising 24-3 victory over the Crimson Tide.
