Adjustments have been made for tonight’s game against the Ducks.
Jayden Struble will not be playing, and Justin Barron will take his place after sitting out the game on Saturday. This is the only alteration to Martin St-Louis’ lineup.
Additionally, Samuel Montembeault will start as the goalie, which comes as no surprise. In recent weeks, Barron and Struble have both been sidelined; Struble has not missed many matches, but if Mike Matheson hadn’t recently sat out two games, Struble might have faced a similar fate.
Arber Xhekaj is not included in the current lineup.
Barron played last Thursday due to Kaiden Guhle being unwell, but he returned to the press box for Saturday’s game. Now, he needs to show his coach that he should not be benched again too quickly.
Offensively, there are no changes being made; Michael Pezzetta continues to be left out, which must be frustrating for him, considering he’s only played three games this season. Given the situation with the Canadiens, I would suggest waiving Michael Pezzetta, not only to respect him but also to bring in a different 13th forward, thereby increasing competition.
However, that decision isn’t mine to make.Adjustments have been made for tonight’s game against the Ducks.
