In the footage, Martin St-Louis appeared visibly annoyed when questioned about Primeau, and he was heard using a French expletive, “Tabarna**.”
Journalist Simon Olivier Lorange asked whether the organization still believes in Primeau’s ability to win games, and St-Louis clearly did not take the question well.
Since then, Lorange has faced a barrage of negative comments online. In my view, the problem isn’t the question itself but rather the dynamics between the two; St-Louis doesn’t seem to have a favorable opinion of Lorange. Their interactions during press conferences often appear tense.
It’s clear this issue needs to be addressed, as it’s becoming more pronounced during these media sessions. Lorange has a responsibility to ask questions, and I personally found his inquiry pertinent. While the timing might not have been ideal, I’m left wondering the same thing: Does the Canadiens organization still have faith in Cayden Primeau?
In summary, this situation warrants attention. It’s worth noting that Samuel Montembeault has played both games in back-to-back nights against the Red Wings, which is a rarity. Additionally, the Canadiens enjoyed a 5-1 victory over the Red Wings at the Bell Centre last night.
