Stephen Curry shared his thoughts following another disappointing loss for the Warriors against the Pacers.
The Golden State Warriors are in a rough patch, having lost 111-105 to the Indiana Pacers in their latest game.
Despite playing at home against a strong Pacers squad, the Warriors struggled to find their rhythm, particularly in their three-point shooting.
They made only 12 out of 38 attempts from beyond the arc, resulting in a low 31.8% success rate. Coupled with a poor free-throw performance of 15-21, this led to a significant defeat.
Curry has been facing difficulties as well, having scored under 20 points in three of his last five games, with one game yielding just two points.
In last night’s match, he contributed only 10 points, along with five rebounds and seven assists, while shooting poorly at 2-13 from the field and 2-9 from three-point range.
This decline from one of the all-time greats is evident, and he acknowledged it after the game, emphasizing the need for improvement.
Curry addressed the media, stating that the team needs to perform better, and importantly, that he must improve as well. He assured that he would work on it, saying, “We gotta be able to put it together for 48 minutes… I gotta play better. And I will. Just have to maintain our confidence in what we’re doing.”
The Warriors began the season strong, briefly sitting at the top of the Western Conference, but their performance has declined significantly in recent weeks.
Their next matchup is on Christmas Day against the Los Angeles Lakers at home. Both teams are looking to bounce back after recent losses.
