According to Mail Plus, Leeds United approached Napoli defender Alessandro Zanoli during the January transfer window. Simon Jones reported that the 23-year-old was interested in joining the Whites, but they missed out as he went on loan to Salernitana instead. Leeds has been linked to several targets, including Burnley’s Connor Roberts and Liverpool’s Calvin Ramsay, but has yet to secure a signing. The sticking point for Zanoli’s move remains unclear, and it is speculated that convincing players of game time is a challenge for the club. The recruitment department is uncertain about a move for Zanoli, and the academy product Archie Gray has been impressive as the regular starter at right-back. However, the club is not comfortable with the current numbers and risks their promotion push if they do not sign anyone new before the deadline.
