Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has once again raised doubts about his future with the team, a year after a tumultuous offseason. Speaking to the NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe at the Pro Bowl Games, Diggs refused to confirm his future with the team, despite being under contract until 2027. He did, however, say that he was ready to work hard in the offseason to build on what the team had achieved so far. Despite Diggs’ comments, insiders believe that the Bills have little choice but to keep him, given his $27.8 million cap hit for the coming season. General manager Brandon Beane has also publicly pledged his commitment to Diggs, saying that he remains the team’s top receiver.
Stefon Diggs Expresses Disappointment Over Season’s End
Diggs couldn’t shake off the regret of dropping a crucial pass against the Chiefs in the fourth quarter, which could have given the Bills a significant advantage. The team missed a chance to tie the game and eventually lost, allowing the Chiefs to move forward to the AFC Championship game.
“I wish I could have that play back. If I touch it, I drop it. If I get even a finger on it, I count it,” Diggs shared with Wolfe. “This season was a rollercoaster ride, from the first eight games to the last eight, nine, or ten games. It was a different experience, and I had to adapt as a teammate. I had to roll with the punches, be the best player and teammate I can be, and keep growing.”
