The Carolina Panthers have added a new quarterbacks coach to their staff under the leadership of recently hired head coach Dave Canales. As reported by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Canales will be reuniting with a former colleague who is currently employed by the USC Trojans.
Pelissero shared the news of the hire on Twitter on the morning of Super Bowl Sunday, stating that “the #Panthers are hiring Will Harriger as their quarterbacks coach, per source.” Harriger previously worked with Canales in Seattle and also worked with Bryce Young as a young player through @QBCollective. The two will now be reunited in Carolina.
Harriger has held various roles within the USC football program since joining forces with Lincoln Riley in 2022. These roles include Senior Offensive Analyst, Assistant Quarterbacks Coach, Game Management Coordinator, and NFL Liaison for the Trojans, according to USC’s official team website.
