Justise Winslow, a former NBA player with eight years and 344 games of experience, did not secure a team as a free agent in the past offseason. However, the 27-year-old Duke basketball alumnus has been performing exceptionally well for the Toronto Raptors’ G League affiliate, the Raptors 905, with an average of 16.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Saturday that Toronto has recognized his efforts and signed him to a 10-day contract, filling a vacant roster spot. Winslow will earn $166,176 for his call-up and have an opportunity to demonstrate his value for a full-time deal. He will join fellow Blue Devils, RJ Barrett and Gary Trent Jr., on the Raptors’ team. The Raptors, currently ranked No. 12 in the Eastern Conference standings, will play against the San Antonio Spurs, featuring Duke talent Tre Jones, at 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday.
