Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, had a challenging rookie season that has led some to doubt his potential for success in the league. Radio host Craig Carton recently criticized Young, saying that his height of five-foot-two makes him unsuitable for the position. Despite the firing of head coach Frank Reich midway through the season and the hiring of Dave Canales, who has a track record of revitalizing quarterbacks, Carton maintains that Young is not cut out for the NFL. He compared him to Dave Meggett and suggested that his college success was due to the spread offense. Despite pushback from other panelists on his show, Carton remained steadfast in his belief that Young will never be a successful NFL quarterback. However, Young still has plenty of time to prove him wrong.
