Bronny James is being scouted by several NBA teams, including the Miami Heat, who are reportedly considering using a 2024 draft pick to acquire him, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Lakers and the Toronto Raptors are also said to be scouting the USC freshman. While the Heat own their first-round pick this year, the Lakers will need Bronny to fall to the second round as they surrendered their first-round pick to the Pelicans as part of the Anthony Davis trade. The Raptors, who own two first-round selections and a second-round pick, could emerge as the sleeper pick. James has expressed his desire to play with his son and may be willing to take a pay cut to do so. It’s still unclear if Bronny will declare for the draft or return to college for another season. James has until June 29 to decide on his player option with the Lakers, and the 2024 NBA Draft will be held on June 26-27.
