Despite the Pittsburgh Steelers’ announcement that Kenny Pickett will remain their starting quarterback for the 2024 NFL season, rumors persist about his future as the team’s QB1. Even Terry Bradshaw, a franchise legend, has voiced his support for Pickett, but speculation continues to swirl. In fact, there are ongoing rumors about potential starting quarterbacks for the Steelers in 2024. Curt Popejoy of Steelers Wire attempted to rank the “most popular options” for the No. 1 QB role, and surprisingly, Pickett didn’t top the list. Instead, Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields was deemed the top choice. Fields has been linked to the Steelers as a trade target for some time, and the Bears haven’t ruled out the possibility of trading him, especially if they select a QB with their No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. This could mean the end of Fields’ tenure in the Windy City.
