The all-time leader in games played for the Carolina Panthers is returning for a second campaign.
Long-time long snapper J.J. Jansen will rejoin the Panthers for a one-year contract, as first reported on Friday afternoon by Joseph Person of The Athletic.
In all honesty, it was an easy choice to make.
Next week, Jansen was expected to become a free agent.
He will be starting his 16th season with the Panthers after agreeing to an agreement. With 243 games played, he leads the team all-time. Since 2009, he hasn’t missed a game.
He appears to be staying in Charlotte for at least one more season, having grown up as a Panther.
