Cleveland has made a move to acquire Jerry Jeudy, a former Alabama All-American wide receiver, in a trade with the Denver Broncos. Reports from NFL Network and ESPN indicate that the Browns have agreed to swap fifth- and sixth-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft for Jeudy.
There have been ongoing rumors about Jeudy being traded, and now after four seasons with Denver, the talented receiver is heading to Cleveland. Last year, the Broncos exercised their option for a fifth season on Jeudy’s rookie contract. He is set to play in 2024 for $12.987 million before potentially entering free agency if a contract extension with Cleveland isn’t secured.
In the 2023 season, Jeudy recorded 54 receptions for 758 yards and two touchdowns. Throughout his time with Denver, Jeudy accumulated 211 receptions for 3,053 yards and 11 touchdowns in 57 games following being selected as the 15th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
During his college career at Alabama, Jeudy had 159 receptions for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns. He was honored as a consensus All-American in 2018 and was once again selected to the American Football Coaches Association’s first-team in 2019.
