In addition to recording an assist, Dylan DeMelo, a defenseman with the Jets, ended a 63-game goal drought. Mason Appleton, Kyle Connor, and Nate Schmidt also scored for Winnipeg. The Jets, who have alternated victories and defeats in their last five games, were led by Josh Morrissey with three assists and Nikolaj Ehlers with two.
With the win, Winnipeg’s position atop the Central Division was shared by Dallas, Colorado, and Winnipeg. Having played two less games than the Stars and one fewer than the Jets, they have the tiebreaker for first place.
