The Carolina Panthers will keep looking for a young wide receiver with potential.
Josh Edwards of CBS Sports said on Wednesday that Western Kentucky University wide receiver prospect Malachi Corley, a late second-round pick, has visited Carolina and is ranked in the top 30.
At five feet eleven inches and 210 pounds, Corley appears to be a viable wide receiver option for the Panthers.
He made 32 starts throughout his time in college, and in 2023 and 2022, he was selected to the first team of the C-USA.
Scouts find Corley’s hands to be his strongest attribute, despite the fact that his physique makes him appear more like a running back. He has good ball tracking, and according to multiple skill evaluators, he has “very natural hands.”
When Corley is in possession of the ball, he can make dangerous plays. In the last two seasons, he has accumulated 180 catches, 2,279 receiving yards, and 22 touchdowns in this manner. The Panthers are now trying to get Charlotte to see that talent. It would not be harmful.
The Cleveland Browns, Baltimore, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers are among the teams he is expected to visit with.
