The Carolina Panthers have completed their major moves, and head coach Dan Morgan wants to add players to the roster in preparation for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Panthers.com reports that linebacker Tae Davis, a vital member of the special teams unit, and the team reached an agreement on Friday.
When Davis joined the Panthers in November, he gave a position plagued by injury more depth.
The terms of Davis’ agreement have not yet been made public.
The Panthers just brought back a number of special team players in addition to him.
Safety Sam Franklin Jr. and the Panthers reached a one-year contract agreement on Thursday, according to Panthers.com.
For the past two seasons, Franklin has led the team in special teams tackles.
In the 2023 season, he also had a 99-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
For the Panthers, Franklin has started nine games. He has made 64 total appearances in games.
