Ex-Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley criticized the fashion sense of this year’s top quarterback prospect, Caleb Williams from USC, who was spotted at an NCAA basketball game sporting painted nails and a pink cell phone case. Despite Williams explaining the significance of his style, Beasley remained unimpressed.
Cole Beasley has stirred up a controversy by criticizing individuals painting their nails, including quarterback Williams, earlier this year. Despite facing backlash for his comments, Beasley stood by his opinion, stating his disagreement with the current trend of gender identity expression. Williams, on the other hand, explained that his decision to paint his nails was a tribute to his mother’s profession in a nail salon. Beasley’s controversial remarks are not new, as he previously made headlines for his criticisms of the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols and his departure from the Bills after the 2022 season.
“It was a different experience in the organization, at the facility, and even with the fans. Initially, my time in Buffalo reignited my passion for football, but everything shifted with the arrival of Covid-19. The fans may have had an impact, but it was the treatment within the organization that affected me most. Dealing with criticism from fans was nothing new, even back in Dallas. However, when I noticed changes in how I was being treated by people within the organization, that was a whole other issue.” Beasley also mentioned his disappointment with Bills icon Bruce Smith’s involvement in promoting vaccination among players.
