In an attempt to accomplish a historic three-peat, the Kansas City Chiefs have added the newest piece to their Super Bowl jigsaw. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills are looking for a swift roster overhaul that would enable them to stay in contention.
Stefon Diggs’ trade-away isn’t quite on the same level as KC’s most recent transaction. In fact, not too many NFL fans will be unfamiliar with this one, as Bleacher Reports indicates that former rugby great Louis Rees-Zammit has signed with the Chiefs. Jordan Schult Rees-Zammit decided to leave rugby before the Six Nations tournament in 2024 to pursue his NFL dream. He was part of the International Player Pathway Program and caught the eye of scouts during his 10-day trial, leading to the Chiefs signing him. At just 23 years old, he has time to adapt to the NFL and develop his skills. Rees-Zammit is expected to play various offensive roles such as running back, receiver, and punt returner, offering the Chiefs a versatile addition to their offense. His impressive speed, evident from his 4.44-second 40-yard dash, could make him a valuable asset. With the Chiefs’ head coach known for innovative plays, Rees-Zammit could see playing time in 2024.
