Officially, this is All Panthers on FanNation/SI’s mock draft season. Before the 2024 NFL Draft, we will provide a brand-new complete, seven-round Carolina Panthers mock draft every week.It is almost to the point where it would be shocking if Xavier Legette was not selected by the Panthers after this draft. For good reason, he occupies a prominent position on Carolina’s board. Adam Thielen and Diontae Johnson would provide Bryce Young more respectable receiving room to work with if they were paired together.
RD 2, Pick 49: C West Virginian Zach Frazier
TRANSACTION: For No. 49 and No. 80, send No. 39 to CIN.
We’ve made a deal for the first time in this mock draft season. It appears that the top two centres are sliding just a bit for whatever reason.
Friendlier.
TE Ben Sinnott of Kansas State, Pick 65, RD 3
Even though I came to the game a little later than most, I’m starting to really like former Kansas State tight end Ben Sinnott. He’s demonstrated that he can and will take on blocks in addition to being a potent weapon over the middle of the field by playing both tight end and fullback. To be honest, I think Sinnott has a higher ceiling than Texas’ Ja’Tavion Sanders.
RD 3, Pick 80: Western Michigan’s EDGE Marshawn Kneeland
I target Kneeland, a prospect who has visited Carolina, with the choice I took from the Bengals because the Panthers need help with their pass rush. Kneeland recorded 149 tackles in his four years at WMU, including 28 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks. Rock solid production, but there’s a lot more in there. His best football is ahead of him.
Pick 101, RD 4, LSU’s DT Maason Smith
We’re taking Maason Smith to escalate the conflict right away for the second week in a row. He’s an almost ideal fit who can start the season as A’Shawn Robinson’s backup.
RB Audric Estime, Notre Dame, Pick 141, RD 5,
Although this is a fresh moniker, Panthers supporters have previously debated it on social media. The Panthers’ running back room does not currently have the level of physicality that Estime provides. In addition to serving as the short-yardage back, he is capable of filling in during clear-cut passing situations to support blitz pickup.
