For any athlete, being inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame is the ultimate achievement in their career and is seen as evidence of their significant influence on the game. Induction into the Hall of Fame is a rigorous procedure in many sports, where candidates are evaluated based on their long-term impact on the sport.
Discussions concerning the selection criteria frequently arise, especially when the public isn’t in agreement with a player’s admission.
Recently, on an edition of Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, “Club Shay Shay,” Cam Newton, the legendary player for the Carolina Panthers, spoke about his chances of being inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.
But to be honest, I wouldn’t give a damn. And my influence was felt—not to disparage the Hall of Fame or the members.”

“Honestly though, I wouldn’t care. And not to disrespect the Hall of Fame or the people who are in it, my impact was felt.”

Although Cam Newton declined to provide a firm response about whether or not he will be inducted, he did said that his professional accomplishments speak for themselves. Even though Newton hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet, he has a number of noteworthy achievements.
With the Panthers, he made an exhilarating league debut by winning the coveted title of league MVP and Offensive Rookie of the Year. Although these achievements might influence the Hall of Fame committee’s decision, worries about Newton’s brief career still exist.
Even if in his prime he had an indisputable influence with the Panthers, some doubt if he has played in the league long enough to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.
