The Buffalo Bills are interested in reciver Xavier Legette.
The South Carolina receiver, who is regarded as a first-round prospect, had a private workout with the Bills, according to a report from Ryan Talbot of Syracuse.com on April 23. After losing out on Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, the Bills have held meetings with a number of other wide receivers in the weeks preceding the draft. Many experts predict that the Bills will select a pass-catcher with their first-round pick.
The Bills interviewed Legette at the NFL Combine in March, where the prospect expressed admiration for quarterback Josh Allen. Legette praised Allen as a great quarterback and expressed his desire to contribute to the team if given the opportunity. Following the interview with the Bills, Legette shared his positive experience and interest in playing for Buffalo. Analysts view Legette as a strong fit for the Bills, given his impressive performance at South Carolina in 2023, where he had a breakout season with 71 receptions, 1,255 yards, and seven touchdowns. Despite limited college production before 2023, Legette’s standout performance in the 40-yard dash and the Senior Bowl caught the attention of scouts and analysts like Mel Kiper Jr., who now projects him going in the late first round. While the Bills could potentially select Legette at No. 28, there are speculations that they might make a bold move to compensate for the loss of Diggs. Some analysts suggest a trade with the Houston Texans to move up to the No. 4 pick and secure top wide receiver prospect Marvin Harrison Jr.
