This offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been linked to many possible wide receiver transactions. Surprisingly, though, one of their former receivers inked a new deal with a different team.
The Buffalo Bills have signed former Steelers second-round pick Chase Claypool as a wide receiver, the organisation announced Monday.
In 2022, Claypool left Pittsburgh to join the Chicago Bears in exchange for a second-round selection. With that selection, the Steelers selected cornerback Joey Porter Jr.
Prior to being traded to the Miami Dolphins, Claypool had a terrible season with the Bears, managing just 18 catches in 10 games. Before becoming a free agency, Claypool had only four catches in nine games with the Dolphins.

With the Steelers, Claypool had a strong debut season, hauling in nine touchdowns on 62 receptions as a rookie. He had another solid season in 2021, hauling in 59 passes for 860 yards. Now, with Josh Allen at quarterback for Buffalo, he looks to revive his career.
