Terrace Marshall Jr., a former second-round choice, has not yielded the returns the Carolina Panthers had hoped for. He was a member of the explosive LSU offensive team of 2019 that also included Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Justin Jefferson, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and many more.
Marshall hasn’t worked out in Carolina, at least not yet, for a variety of reasons. As he approaches the last year of his rookie contract, he has only caught 64 passes for 767 yards and one touchdown in his first three years of professional football.
Anthony DiBona from Pro Football Network suggests that the Panthers may consider trading Terrace Marshall before the 2024 season. Despite being hailed as a draft steal in 2021, Marshall has not lived up to expectations in his first three NFL seasons with the Carolina Panthers. With competition in the wide receiver room increasing and Marshall slipping down the depth chart, it might be beneficial for the Panthers to explore trade options for him. Although Marshall showed promise during spring practice, the team could still consider moving him if they believe there isn’t a significant role for him in the offense.
