The Chicago Sky and Angel Reese have dug themselves a small hole from which they are unable to emerge.
The Sky are now on a seven-game losing run following their Tuesday night 90-71 loss to the Las Vegas Aces. Atlanta Dream has equalled them in the standings at 11-22, meaning they have now lost their advantage in the competition for the final seed in the playoffs.
Guard Chennedy Carter has missed the last four games due to health and safety procedures, which is a major factor in the Sky’s bad run of play.
However, Carter was spotted returning to practise in a recent Sky social media post.
Reese was mic’d up at a recent Chicago practice, speaking with her colleagues, according to the post.Chi Barbie can be seen high-fiving Carter in the middle of the video, calling her “Chenn Doll.”
The popular film Barbie, which stars the well-known Mattel dolls Barbie and Ken, is the source of the term.
With an average of 17.2 points per game on 50% shooting throughout the 2024 WNBA season, Chenn Doll has been the Sky’s leading scorer. Carter and Reese must put on great final-quarter efforts if Chicago hopes to make the playoffs.
