Caitlin Clark, a sensational basketball player at the University of Iowa, has a solid support network outside of the court, led by her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery.
A sweet selfie of the two that Clark uploaded on Instagram with the remark, “Best end to summer,” four months after the couple started dating, revealed that they had been hiding their relationship for a while.
In May 2023, Connor received his degree from the University of Iowa. In 2017, he earned a position as a four-star recruit while playing basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes. In addition, he excelled academically while maintaining his physical fitness, earning two degrees: one in political science and one in finance.
Connor agreed to work as a team assistant with the Indiana Pacers shortly after graduating. His responsibilities range from providing the coaching staff with film analysis and scouting reports to helping out during workouts as necessary.
He told the Des Moines Register, “I’ll run the scout team, play dummy defence, assist coaches with film stuff, assist with video projects if they need it, and assist with scouting reports if it’s necessary.” “Be prepared to do whatever is asked of you.”
In addition to seeing his current position as a stepping stone in the NBA, Connor hopes to carry on his father Fran McCaffery’s coaching legacy. Fran was the head coach of the Hawkeyes for 14 years. “This position is entry-level. You have to put in a lot of effort and advance. “It’s evidently what I wish to accomplish,” he declared to the Register.
Additionally, Connor has expressed his admiration for Caitlin loudly. Connor sent a touching picture of her on Instagram on her 22nd birthday in January 2024, expressing his support and affection. He replied, praising her amazing accomplishments and stating, “Wish I was there to celebrate with you-you deserve the best day,” adding that he knew she had “so much more in store.”
Connor’s forecast was realised just a month later, when Caitlin became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA women’s basketball history.
