LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne has recently completed her senior year but has one more year of eligibility left, which she plans to use.
In a video announcement shared on Monday, Dunne confirmed her decision to return to LSU for a fifth year on the gymnastics team. She expressed her excitement by saying, “Wearing a purple and gold leotard, competing in front of 13,000 passionate Tiger fans, being inspired by my coaches to excel, and being part of a team that made history at our school—there’s just something about LSU that resonates with me, regardless of the opportunities that arise outside of gymnastics.”
Unlike many athletes, Dunne has little incentive to leave school since she has stated that her NIL deals exceed $1 million, with some estimates suggesting even higher earnings. Her popularity on social media continues to grow, and it also helps that she is in a relationship with an MLB All-Star.
As a result, Dunne will return to help defend LSU’s gymnastics national championship, which she contributed to winning in April.
