Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is enjoying a remarkable season. Though not every game features eye-popping stats, the offense is operating smoothly, capable of generating big plays, and guiding the Bills to an impressive 7-2 record over the first nine games.
In his last four outings, Allen has thrown for at least two touchdowns each game. Despite having his streak of not throwing interceptions come to an end and some dropped passes being intercepted, he still maintains an impressive 17-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Head coach Sean McDermott praised Allen’s development, noting his growing comfort in the pocket, his ability to read defenses, and his decisiveness with the ball, both in gameplay and at the line of scrimmage.
McDermott remarked on the pressures of the quarterback position, stating that Allen has made significant strides in handling those challenges and is currently performing at his peak.
This season, Allen and the offense are most effective when he focuses on making easy completions and checking the ball down, which allows playmakers to shine after the catch. By selectively choosing when to unleash deep throws or showcase his improvisational skills, Allen proves he doesn’t need to be a superhero on every play, and the team’s success reflects that approach.
