Kentucky wing Jaxson Robinson struggled in his game against the Duke Blue Devils in Atlanta, managing to score only one point, but he made a strong recovery in the following match against Lipscomb.
Robinson achieved a season-high 20 points in Rupp Arena during Tuesday’s game against Lipscomb. His performance was notable not just for the points but for its efficiency, as he shot 6-10 from the field and 3-6 from beyond the arc. Additionally, he was perfect from the free-throw line at 5-5 and contributed seven rebounds.
After the decisive victory over Lipscomb, Robinson commented on his comeback, stating, “I have been doing it for a while. I know one game doesn’t define me. Just making sure I come out with good energy. I feel like there were a few times where I showed my frustration during the last game, so just making sure I come out and be a good teammate. That’s really all it is.”
Like all great players, Robinson faced a challenging game against Duke, but he demonstrated his resilience by bouncing back effectively against Lipscomb.
While Kentucky may have various players step up to lead in scoring from game to game, Robinson is expected to be one of their key scorers throughout the season.
If he can consistently contribute around 15 points per game, Kentucky will become an even more formidable team, thanks to their depth and the number of players capable of having standout performances on any night.
