On Wednesday, Justin Hill committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide, opting to play under head coach Kalen DeBoer.
Hill, a highly regarded four-star recruit, stands out as one of the top edge prospects for the Class of 2025, and DeBoer is enthusiastic about coaching him in the future.
“Justin Hill is an exceptional, exceptional player,” DeBoer stated. “First and foremost, this is a place that he and his family love, so there’s a special bond there. They are fans of Alabama football, and when you look at his athleticism, explosiveness, and playmaking ability, it’s evident in his film how special he truly is. Digging deeper, you discover he is passionate about being a great teammate and leader. He genuinely cares about his teammates’ experiences. I vividly recall the impact his season-ending injury had on him, especially knowing he would continue playing football while many teammates would not, which speaks volumes about his character. He is an incredibly hard worker, and we are eager to see the dynamic contributions he will bring to the wolf position.”
At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Hill excels at reaching the quarterback from the edge with various techniques. He uses active hands, possesses the strength to overpower offensive linemen, and showcases agility around the edge. Additionally, the four-star recruit effectively operates in open space, demonstrating strong pursuit efforts and the ability to cover ground in the field.
