The New York Rangers have received disappointing news as the situation regarding their defenseman K’Andre Miller’s injury deteriorates.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Miller, a key player for the Rangers, was unable to finish the third period of the game against the Buffalo Sabres due to an upper-body injury. Mollie Walker from the New York Post first noted his absence from the bench, and the Rangers’ PR team later confirmed the injury on social media.
Miller has played in all of the Rangers’ games this season, tallying two goals and four assists for a total of six points across 27 games.
In a concerning update, the Rangers announced on Friday afternoon that Miller has been placed on Injured Reserve (IR) just before an upcoming road trip. This presents a significant challenge as the Rangers are in urgent need of defensive support. Fans are hopeful for a swift recovery so Miller can return to the lineup soon.
