The Golden State Warriors are in urgent need of a victory. After an impressive start to the season at 12-3, they now find themselves at 16-16, close to falling below .500.
Tonight, they go up against the Philadelphia 76ers, who are also struggling. Following a disappointing loss to the Sacramento Kings last night, the Warriors have a chance to capitalize on the 76ers, who are playing on the second night of a back-to-back set.
However, the Warriors may have to compete without Steph Curry. He is listed as questionable due to a sprained right thumb, a new injury for him after he participated in the last two games. He did sit out one game against the Clippers on December 27.
In the 26 games this season, Curry has been averaging 22.0 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds, with shooting splits of 44/40/92. Although he appears to be slightly slower compared to his career averages, he is maintaining his rebounding and assist numbers. Nonetheless, he remains the most crucial player for the Warriors.
