The Gophers football team has recognized Hudson Parliament, a four-star offensive lineman from Brandon, S.D., as a key target for the 2026 recruiting class. Offensive line coach Brian Callahan visited him on Wednesday, marking his second visit to Parliament this month.
“Thank you, Coach Brian Callahan, for coming back this week to watch me lift and discuss Gophers football with my parents. I really appreciate it! #RTB,” Parliament shared on X, previously known as Twitter, on Wednesday.
This visit follows an earlier meeting on January 7, when Callahan, head coach P.J. Fleck, offensive coordinator Greg Harbaugh Jr., and tight ends coach Eric Koehler met with him at Brandon Valley High School, as noted in another post from Parliament’s account.
Parliament, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 310 pounds, ranks 333rd in the nation and is the top player in South Dakota according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He has received significant offers from schools like Nebraska, Georgia Tech, and Texas Tech.
Minnesota and Texas Tech were among the first FBS schools to offer him on May 17, 2024. During the previous football season, he took three official visits, including one to Georgia Tech, Iowa, and the Gophers on October 5, coinciding with their upset victory over Southern Cal.
The Gophers have consistently excelled in recruiting within the Midwest, particularly for offensive linemen. They currently have a commitment from local four-star lineman Andrew Trout for the 2026 class, but adding a talent like Parliament would be a significant enhancement.
