Toa Katoa, a three-star offensive line prospect from Euless (TX) Trinity, made his first unofficial visit to the University of Texas for Junior Day over the weekend as part of his offseason activities for 2025. Texas is among Katoa’s top schools as he begins to take visits, having already visited the Longhorns multiple times since last year.
On Monday morning, Katoa narrowed his list of top schools to five, which includes Texas along with Tennessee, SMU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, as announced on his X account. He told On3 that his visit to Austin was “awesome.”
Katoa has built a strong relationship with Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood, who made a recent visit to him in the DFW Metroplex. Flood has emphasized Katoa’s importance to the Longhorns’ recruitment efforts for the 2026 class.
The 6-foot-3.5, 365-pound Katoa is expected to start planning his official visits soon, with Texas likely being a destination this summer. He exemplifies the type of robust “big humans” that Flood seeks for his SEC offensive and defensive lines and is one of the top offensive line recruits in Texas for the upcoming class. In the 247Sports Composite, Katoa is ranked as the No. 684 prospect nationally, the No. 56 interior offensive lineman, and No. 89 in Texas.
