The Wisconsin Badgers are actively pursuing talent for the class of 2026 and have made the cut for a sought-after defensive tackle with approximately 35 offers. Four-star recruit Damari Simeon has decided to narrow his focus to just ten schools as he heads into his senior year, and the Badgers are among them, alongside several of the top programs nationwide. With his list trimmed down, efforts will ramp up to arrange an official visit.
After much thought, I am narrowing down my recruitment to these schools… #Top10 pic.twitter.com/ERS1ivhCyd

Damari Simeon is choosing from ten schools, and Wisconsin is aiming to bring him to campus. His final selection includes some of the premier recruitment programs in the SEC and Big Ten, along with a few from the ACC. The schools on his list are Notre Dame, Ohio State, Duke, Texas A&M, Syracuse, Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Texas. Interestingly, Rutgers, which Rivals had previously predicted as a contender, is missing from this list.
This is largely attributed to his standout performance at St. Augustine in Richland, New Jersey, leading to a rapid accumulation of offers, and 24/7 Sports has yet to assign him a rating. Rivals ranks him as a four-star, while On3 describes him as close to a four-star with a high 80s grade. According to Rivals, he recently took an unofficial visit to Wisconsin on January 26. This is promising news for Wisconsin, as there are currently no other unofficial visits recorded. Luke Fickell and his team have prioritized Simeon and are keen to get him in for an official visit now that he has limited his options to ten schools.
