Adam Zampa, who played a crucial role in Australia’s World Cup victory, is still feeling the effects of the tournament. However, he hopes that the more relaxed schedule of the BBL will help him regain his fitness.
Zampa had to deal with injuries and illness during the World Cup, but he bounced back with three consecutive four-wicket hauls and a tournament record-equaling tally of 23 wickets for a spinner. He played in the T20I series against India but returned home after the second game. Zampa made his debut for Melbourne Renegades in the BBL on Saturday and took two wickets. Although he feels his body is not in an ideal situation, he is looking forward to the upcoming games and the 11-day break. Zampa is still coming to terms with Australia’s World Cup win and hopes to play in more World Cups in the future.
