Real Madrid’s latest signing, Jude Bellingham, has been awarded the Golden Boy award by Tuttosport.com for the best U21 player of the year, a feat that no Real Madrid player has achieved before.
Bellingham won the award with an overwhelming 45 out of 50 votes from the jury made up of the best sports writers in Europe. The midfielder credits his success to his coach, Carlo Ancelotti, who found the right position for him and gave him more freedom on the pitch. Bellingham has set some impressive records with 15 goals in 17 games for Real Madrid, but admits that he is disappointing Ancelotti in one respect – his language skills. Looking ahead, Bellingham has named Arda Guler, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and his brother Jobe as potential favourites for the Golden Boy award in 2024.
