The rumors linking Liverpool to Wolfsburg center-back Maxence Lacroix have been dismissed, but reports suggest that the Reds are interested in Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier. Despite speculation of a potential £25 million January deal for Lacroix, Klopp has stated that a move for a center-back is unlikely, with the manager content with his current options. Sky Germany’s Sven Tollner has confirmed that Liverpool has no interest in Lacroix.
However, sources have corroborated previous reports linking Liverpool to Beier, who has six goals and four assists in 13 Bundesliga games this season. The 21-year-old has a release clause worth £25.7m, which can be activated at the end of the season.
