The Seagulls’ future is uncertain, and a Brighton man is not pleased with the situation. Steven Alzate has disclosed that Brighton & Hove Albion can recall him from his loan spell at Standard Liège in January. Alzate was hoping to find his way into Roberto De Zerbi’s plans after the Seagulls sold Alexis Mac Allister and Moisés Caicedo in the last window. However, Brighton allowed him to return to Standard Liège on another loan spell in the last window. Alzate has managed a goal and two assists from 11 games this season. The Colombia international’s deal at The Amex lasts until next summer, and he had earlier stated that the Premier League side has an option to extend it for another year. Alzate admitted to being a little tired of the constant travel between England and Belgium, and he would prefer to have stability in his career.
