Despite Cade Cunningham’s 41-point performance, the Detroit Pistons (2-28) lost their 27th consecutive game of the season, breaking an NBA single-season record. The Brooklyn Nets (15-15) defeated them 118-112 at Little Caesars Arena. Cunningham scored 37 points in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. Detroit was previously tied with the 2013-14 Philadelphia 76ers and 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers for the most consecutive losses in a single season. Pistons fans chanted “sell the team” as the game ended. The team’s next game is on the road against the Boston Celtics, and if they lose, they will tie the 76ers’ 28-game skid.
