Following a successful loan spell at Dundee, Owen Beck is in the running to start for Liverpool in their upcoming game against Arsenal in the FA Cup. With Joe Gomez being the only senior left-back option, Jurgen Klopp is eager to protect him and is considering giving 21-year-old Beck a chance. The manager is also expected to make several other changes to the starting XI to account for the physical demands of the festive period. Caoimhin Kelleher is likely to keep his place in the League Cup, with Alisson returning to the team for the FA Cup. Trent Alexander-Arnold may be rested, with Beck and Conor Bradley starting at full-back. In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are expected to replace Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones respectively. Up front, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo could feature, with Harvey Elliott taking on right-wing duties. Liverpool’s potential starting XI is: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Quansah, Beck; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Jones; Elliott, Gakpo, Diaz.
