At the 2024 BetVictor Championship League Invitational held at the Morningside Arena in Leicester and broadcasted live on Matchroom.Live in the UK and Ireland, DAZN in the United States, Viaplay in Scandinavia and the Baltics, Stuart Bingham secured a place in March’s Winners’ Group by defeating Gary Wilson 3-0 in the final. Despite only managing one win in Tuesday’s opening sessions, Bingham’s victories over Robert Milkins, Chris Wakelin, and Noppon Saengkham propelled him to third place in the group, and he beat Kyren Wilson 3-0 in the semi-finals. Bingham won the first frame of the final against Gary Wilson and then made excellent clearances of 61 and 62 in the next two frames to seal a 3-0 victory. Bingham said he was delighted with his performance and credited staying calm as the key to his success. Bingham’s win secured the first spot in Winners’ Group, which will feature each winner from Groups 1-7 on March 1st-2nd. Meanwhile, Gary Wilson, Kyren Wilson, Ryan Day, and Chris Wakelin will join Mark Selby, Ali Carter, and Matthew Selt back at the Morningside Arena for Group 2’s action tomorrow.
