In Friday night’s game, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 127-113, with Jaren Jackson Jr. scoring 31 points and hitting five 3-pointers, and Marcus Smart adding 29 points and a season-high eight 3-pointers. Ziaire Williams scored 10 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies pulled away from the Lakers, who lost their fourth consecutive game. LeBron James scored 32 points and Anthony Davis had 31 for the Lakers, who played without D’Angelo Russell and Rui Hachimura. The Grizzlies ended the game with a 24-10 run, and Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins received a technical foul during the third quarter. Lakers coach Darvin Ham remains connected with owner Jeanie Buss and general manager Rob Pelinka despite recent struggles, and he is not afraid of losing his job.
