Starting off with a win in the coin toss, the Packers quickly got to work and put together an impressive drive that earned them the title of the Chevy Drive of the Week. They managed to score a touchdown in their 48-32 wild-card playoff victory against Dallas, going 75 yards in 12 plays and taking 7 minutes and 52 seconds off the clock. What’s even more impressive is that they didn’t face a third down until the scoring play.
The drive didn’t start off smoothly, with RB Aaron Jones getting stopped for no gain and QB Jordan Love taking a 2-yard sack. However, an illegal contact penalty on the Cowboys gave the Packers a fresh set of downs, and they took advantage of it.
They made their way into Dallas territory with passes of 22 yards to WR Romeo Doubs and 7 yards to WR Bo Melton. Then, Jones ran for 22 yards in three consecutive plays, bringing them into the red zone. Love then found TE Luke Musgravee for 8 yards, giving them a first down at the Dallas 11-yard line.
From there, a 5-yard pass to TE Tucker Kraft set up third-and-5 from the 6. An offside call on Dallas moved the ball closer to the goal, and Jones finished it off on third-and-2 by scoring a touchdown.
With just over 7 minutes left in the first quarter, the Packers were up 7-0 and well on their way to scoring six touchdowns in their first seven possessions.
