Yesterday, Jordan Henderson officially completed his move to Ajax, and his former Liverpool teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson expressed their support for him on Instagram.
After spending 12 years at Anfield, Henderson left Liverpool last summer and joined Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia. However, his time there was short-lived as he signed with Ajax.
Henderson’s departure from Liverpool was due to a lack of game time, and he received criticism for his move to Saudi Arabia. Nevertheless, he celebrated his new chapter on Instagram, where Alexander-Arnold and Robertson showed their love and support.
Despite expectations of a return to the Premier League, Henderson’s stay in his previous location was brief as he has now found a new home in the Netherlands. Ajax and Henderson seem to be a good match, as the Dutch team has not had a successful season thus far, with only eight wins in their first 17 games and a 23-point deficit behind league leaders PSV. Henderson’s expertise and leadership skills will undoubtedly be beneficial to Ajax, and this new challenge should be an exciting one for the former Liverpool captain in the coming months.
