This month, both Djed Spence and Luke Ayling have left the Yorkshire club, leaving them in need of new full-backs. Fortunately, there is still time left in the transfer window, and Leeds is actively searching for replacements. According to Phil Hay on The Square Ball Podcast, Leeds is interested in Ben Johnson from West Ham. While Leeds would prefer a loan deal, West Ham would rather sell him permanently due to his contract. Hay notes that West Ham values Johnson and is willing to offer him a new deal if he stays. However, as a recently relegated club with financial constraints, Leeds may struggle to secure Johnson permanently, especially if he has the opportunity to stay with a Europa League club.
