According to The Sun, Aston Villa has stated their position on a potential departure for Jhon Duran. The newspaper has also reported that Chelsea and West Ham United are interested in signing the Colombian forward during the January transfer window. Chelsea is said to admire Duran, while West Ham has made a surprising inquiry. The 20-year-old reportedly desires more game time and may be interested in joining the Hammers. However, Villa, who are competing for a top-four spot in the Premier League, will only consider a significant offer rather than a loan deal. In my opinion, West Ham should refrain from signing Duran from Aston Villa in January.
Despite being linked with AC Milan, the 20-year-old Colombian player has yet to make a significant impact in the Premier League. Throughout his career with Villa, Duran has played in 26 Premier League matches, scoring two goals. This season, he has yet to start a game for the Villans, but has made 14 appearances as a substitute, scoring two goals.
