Palmer believes that Brooks could provide the extra quality needed for Southampton to secure a place back in the Premier League. Southampton is currently third in the Championship table, one point off the automatic spots. Leeds, Southampton, and Ipswich are separated by two points, with Leeds having played a game more. The signings made by these three clubs could make all the difference in the promotion race.
